Supporting People’s Dreams
Of all the profound and imaginative thoughts and philosophies I’ve conjured in my head, none may be as important as the thoughts that led me to create my GrindPolicy.
Of which will inevitably be my life’s work. The work of supporting people’s dreams.
GrindPolicy is the center of all my own dreams and goals and everything I aspire to accomplish right now. What were the thoughts that led me to this?
I THINK ABOUT PEOPLE
People are a wondrous and special thing. People have the ability to create, accomplish and overcome enormous challenges.
We often see and enjoy things that were made by other people. Some creations capture us in indescribable ways. Others free our minds from the rest of the world around us.
As long as people remain on this earth, they will continue to create and do incredible things. Some people will change the world in ways we’ve only ever dreamed were possible.
But that’s just it…
Everything first starts out as a dream, an idea that seeks to change the course of our future.
Inspiration might be drawn from other people or from ideas that came before, but it only ever starts as a thought.
It’s beautiful to know that after the centuries pass, we still are building on top of each other’s ideas. Like layers of brick, building into the stars neverending.
Simply put people are capable of amazing things.
THAT’S WHY I CREATED GRINDPOLICY
I created GrindPolicy to help motivate people to make their own passions, goals, and dreams come to fruition.
For them to create their and do their own amazing things. For them to live their own adventures and accomplish great feats.
It genuinely brings me happiness to be able to go out and meet people, and hear their stories, and the things they are trying to accomplish. All I have to offer is encouragement and belief in them that they can do it, but it gives me happiness to do so.
WHAT IS GRINDPOLICY
GrindPolicy is a resource for motivating material and gathered information that people might find helpful in some way.
It is a channel for me to give people hope and motivation, however little or big, in a time when they might need it most
But importantly, GrindPolicy can help start the intellectual process for millions of people for them to figure out what their passions truly are.
It will help people go through a journey of self-discovery and open their eyes to a realm of possibilities they might not have previously seen or even thought was possible. Just as it happened to me.
FIGURING OUT WHAT I WANTED TO DO WITH MY LIFE
For myself, this path, GrindPolicy, wasn’t always so clear.
Once upon a time, I was one of those people who wanted to live my best life but had no idea what that meant. I had no idea what I really wanted to do with my own life.
This is about me and how my passion came to be. What exactly went through my mind? How did my mind formulate these thoughts that led me to this goal?
THE AIMLESS TEEN
When I was much younger, I was an aimless teenager. I watched a lot of anime, played games, and dreamed of my own grand adventures.
I loved writing fantastical and epic stories. Albeit, I lacked the actual writing skills to do so. This never really developed into any fruitful pursuit, but I will consider trying my hand at it again later on.
Plain and simple though, I had my passions, writing, drawing, dreaming, and hanging out with friends.
I progressed through college pursuing degrees that did interest me but held no bearing on the things I actually enjoyed doing in my life at the time.
TIME FOR A CHANGE
One day when I realized my life wasn’t going anywhere, I knew I needed to sit down and figure things out. I knew I could graduate college and get a job.
But I wanted to know how exactly people “do what they love”.
I didn’t want to waste my life away at a job I didn’t enjoy. I wanted to figure out what people meant when they say to do what you love & do what you enjoy or do what you’re good at.
Like what the hell does that really mean?
I wasn’t especially good at anything. A lot of people around me were though. They all kind of knew what they wanted to do with their lives too. I didn’t even know where to start.
I thought to myself, maybe I should make a list of everything I love to do, everything I am good at, and then maybe I will see something that will click.
I listed the usual suspects, movies, games, food, etc. The list helped but there was something that was missing. I had to dig deeper into my head and actually look at what I always spent my time doing.
WHAT DID I LOVE
I loved hanging out with people. I loved meeting new people. I loved hearing about them and what they were trying to do with their lives.
People are so interesting and their abilities to create and pursue a future they dream of is a magical story in itself.
I loved hearing about people’s passions and journeys. I loved being given the ability to encourage them and motivate them to that end.
But I still didn’t have any real way to make this into something for myself. In fact, I didn’t even see it as an option.
It was my friends that were the first ones to point out that I was really good at bringing people together. And that I was particularly good at motivating others and helping them through tough times.
But that’s when it clicked. When I was making my list, I hadn’t thought about all the things that would make me happy because I was subconsciously limiting it. I didn’t include things on my list if they were not obvious as opportunities.
It occurred to me that I had to start listing things without thinking about how they could make me money. I just need to list everything as a possibility.
Funny enough, the one thing on my list that resonated best was that came from my friends.
OKAY SO WHAT NOW
Well okay then. I thought, sure this is what I like to do and I’m apparently good at it. How does that help me?
How do I turn that into an opportunity for myself? Is it something I can do for the rest of my life that will make me happy and pay the bills?
And so after weeks of thinking things through, I decided that it was possible.
It was possible to be able to help people, bring them together, motivate them, hear about their dreams, and push them to achieve those goals.
It was possible to do all this and find happiness in what I do.
I made an extensive list of the different ways I could create life from what I enjoy.
From that list, I decided I would create a blog and other material to reach out to millions of people and remind them to pursue their passions.

NEVER WOULD HAVE OTHERWISE THOUGHT ABOUT IT
The story of how this came to be is incredible to me because I found it so unlikely, such a faraway thought at first until I put pen and paper to really figure it out.
Thanks to my friends for telling me what I was good at. Not even in the same context as what I want to do with my life. I just asked them “what do you think I’m good at?”
But it helped. Their answers weren’t influenced by any other factors. Their genuine answers helped me realize things I didn’t see or acknowledge about myself.
This was empowering for me. It literally let me see my life in a whole new light.
MORAL OF THE STORY
Sometimes we overlook the things that would really make us happy, the things that we are actually good at just because we can’t see the opportunity in them.
Instead, we need to realize that it’s not about seeing, it’s about making the opportunity.
If it’s what you love and enjoy, then there will always be ways to make it into the opportunity of your lifetime. That’s what I truly believe.
And so I made GrindPolicy. For all those who seek not only motivation but a way to figure out what it is their dreams are.
If they are lost like I was, I have made a process you can follow. The same process I went through that helped me really figure things out for myself.
